“Ndarugu Community Learning Centre” is an initiative that aims to help adult learners gain literacy skills and become familiar with new agricultural practices. While the key goal of the initiative is helping the local community generate self-employment, the centre also works as a community place, with a number of social functions. It was recognized as an excellent best practice in engaging new learners through the EAEA Grundtvig Award 2017.
