Sandra Wall Armitage has a gift for encouraging others, with her ebullient character, her generosity and skill she has helped many aspiring painters to achieve more than they dreamed possible. I owe her a debt of gratitude for her kindness and recognition of my potential…as I know do many others. She was an outstanding President of the Botanical Society of Artists UK and did so much to professionalize and open the society to the outside world.
